Playdough Recipe

Page

Here you have it folks, our tried and true, all-time favourite playdough recipe.

We use this stuff often and I make so much I am beginning to think the stirring alone should count as a workout for my arms 😉

Playdough

1 cup of flour

1/2 cup of salt

2 Tablespoons of Cream of Tartar (found in the spice section of most local grocery stores)

1 Tablespoon of oil (I use vegetable)

1 cup of water

**If you are planning to add food colouring, I add mine to the water before mixing. This trick has saved my hands from staining as much!

Combine ingredients in a heat-safe pot using a wooden spoon.

Cook over MEDIUM heat, stirring constantly, until the dough begins to form a ball.

Remove from heat and kneed until the desired texture is achieved.

At this point you can add spices, glitter and more food colouiring, should you wish, to suit your needs.
